My first funnel at 21- 50% more revenue in month 1
The first time I created a funnel, I didn't know that's what it was called. My website was getting over 1,500 daily users, making nearly $27 each day, and gaining push notification subscribers. Then, I monetized them beyond Adsense.
I was 21 when I first created a funnel to boost revenue on my website- at that time, I just didn’t know it was called that.
It was a tech blog in a profitable niche.
Everyday I used to get 1,500 to 2,000 organic visitors making me USD 20 to 30.
Now, here was the best part- this was the first time my visitors were interacting with me and my content.
They were responding to the “Push Notifications” subscribe button. They were leaving queries in comments.
The Push Notifications subscription list had already grown to a 1,000 subscribers in 1 week- a clear signal they wanted more of my content.
Something in me just told me to do a little more with these users.
So, I started comparing the tools that I was talking about.
Linked these comparison pages from high ranking blogs (simple comparison anchors- no fancy buttons), and bounce rate dropped since more users were spending more time viewing multiple pages in the same session.
But, that still did not pay me more money directly. So, I used the tool- Ahrefs.
I found small websites making the same tools as the ones that my blog was talking about, just on a very small scale.
Sent emails to 100 such websites making some version of tools that I talked about.
Two of them responded -> I showed them the web traffic, push notifications, and user response -> listed these tools in a blog negotiating $150 and $250 deals for the top two positions.
Taking the right action helped me make an additional $400 in a week, along with a basic understanding of how funnels worked, enabling me to evolve the same ideas on various affiliate blogs and client projects.
